Timely arrival. The train didn't arrive at the station on time due to conditions beyond their control BUT it did make the Seattle journeying the time amount it predicted The passengers at the Portland were not kept awake of the delay during our 2.5 hour wait time.

Pros: Swift option of travel. Cons: N/A. Tips: No!
1.0
Pros: It was quick. Cons: Never seat people on a car where air conditioner is broken when it is 100 degrees out traveling to Seattle. We now have one person in our group with covid. Tips: Make sure car tour on everything is working.
3.0
Pros: Scenery, relaxing travel. Cons: Seat comfort, enforced quiet time 10:00pm - 7:00am, more fresh air time at depot stops, cheaper alternatives to coach travel (our trip was 40 hours). Tips: Pack your food and drink.

Pros: It was great to be able to sit in the observation car on the train. Cons: I was a bit confused by the word ‘coach’ on my booking, so I had thought it was a bus and not a train that I was getting. Happy to find out it was in fact a train. Tips: Wanderu seems pretty easy to use and the price of the train from Seattle to Portland was better than I had expected.

Pros: It was a beautiful train ride and much more pleasant that driving would have been. It was easy to get to and the station location of the in Santa Barbara allows easy walking to both the beach and State street. Cons: As with everywhere these days, there were minimal Covid measures. Being assigned a seat directly next to someone else while there were still plenty of open seats was mildly annoying. Tips: Say hello to your train conductor! They are very friendly.

WiFi - if there was any onboard it wasn't working at all so I had to use my hotspot on my phone which drained my battery.
3.0
Pros: Convenience and price. Cons: The lock on the restroom door did not work, and the door wouldn’t latch securely. I had to use the toilet with an open door. Not fun….!
4.0
Pros: I kinda enjoyed the 4-5 hour delay in Siskiyou lol I got extra sleep. Cons: The seating space the food is over priced I know we're in inflation so I won't put that on the company entirely you have to pay overhead. Tips: Bring headphones and your own food. The cafe is over priced.
5.0
Pros: The view from the lounge cart was my favorite part! The cafe shop was good too. Not too pricey and they have a wide variety of snacks. Cons: The bathrooms were dirty, and has a great deal of visible damage. The lounge area was also packed most of the time so it hard to find a seat. More seating would be appreciated. Tips: Bring your own USB adapter they do not sell them on the train. The cell service goes in and out so you'll want to pre download all your entertainment.
